Kalash Phool Festival Tour Itinerary

Day 1: Islamabad – Dir – Chitral (430 km / 11-12 hrs)

  • Early Departure: From a designated spot in Islamabad for Dir at the foot of Lowari Pass, preferably via Swat Express Way (Motorway).
  • Journey: Winding over the Lowari Mountain is an interesting and rewarding experience. The Lowari tunnel is an alternative to Lowari pass but operational for limited hours.
  • Arrival: On the other side of the mountain, find an asphalt road and arrive in Chitral in the evening.
  • Night Stay: Pamir Inn or similar, Chitral Town.

Day 2: Chitral – Excursion to Garam Chashma (100 km / 4 hrs)

  • Morning: Breakfast at the hotel.
  • View: Chitral Town, dominated by the view of distant Tirich Mir, the highest peak of the Hindu Kush range.
  • Departure: For Garam Chashma, a sub-valley of Chitral, famous for its sulfur springs and trout fish.
  • Return: Back to the hotel in Chitral for a night stay.
  • Night Stay: Pamir Inn or similar, Chitral Town.

Day 3: Chitral – Birir (Kalash Valley) (30 km / 2.5 hrs)

  • Morning: After spending some time in Chitral, depart for Kalash Valley and check into the hotel at Ayun Valley.
  • Rest: After some rest, proceed to Birir Kalash Valley.
  • Activity: Enjoy the Kalasha Phool Festival for the whole day.
  • Night Stay: Ayun Fort Inn or similar, Ayun Valley.

Day 4: Bamburet – Rambur

  • Morning: Proceed to the main Kalash valley Bamburet.
  • Activity: Free day to relax and enjoy the breathtaking views of the valley. Visit the Kalasha graveyard, interact with community members, teachers, and local kids in their traditional dresses.
  • Optional: Trip to Rambur, another typical Kalash village.
  • Night Stay: Ayun Fort Inn or similar, Ayun Valley.

Day 5: Ayun – Islamabad (440 km / 10-11 hrs)

  • Early Morning: Departure from Ayun for a long drive back to Islamabad.
  • Arrival: Participants will be dropped at the designated spot in Islamabad.

Tour Price Per Person: PKR 32,000

Exclusions:

  • Porters (for carrying personal equipment/luggage)
  • Extra expenses due to landslides/roadblocks
  • Extra expenses due to acts of nature/religious or political reasons
  • Lunch, dinner, mineral water, side orders, laundry services, telephone calls, or any other unmentioned services

Important Notes:

  • Changes in Tour Plan: Any changes in the tour plan will result in a change of cost and will be reflected in the invoice accordingly.
  • Travel Time Variations: Delays of 3/4 hours +/- can occur during travel in hilly areas.
  • Hotel Check-in/Check-out: Standard check-in time is 14:00 hrs & check-out time is 12:00 hrs. Late checkout will be extended till 14:00 hrs, after which 50% of the room rent will be charged until 18:00 hrs. Full night will be charged after 18:00 hrs.
  • Booking and Availability: Accommodation & vehicles are booked after confirmation and are subject to availability. In peak season, unforeseen circumstances may result in different accommodations or vehicles, but equivalent arrangements will be made.
  • Late Confirmation: Late confirmation can lead to changes and revisions in the quote and plan.
  • Price Adjustments: The price will change in case of changes to the quoted itinerary. Fuel prices are based on the latest rates; any changes by the government or in the scheduled route will be adjusted after the final quote or during the journey.
  • Non-refundable Services: Unutilized services or inclusions are non-refundable.
  • Driver’s Decision: The driver’s decision is final in case of any situation on the roads. He is trained to drive in hilly areas and will not drive after sunset for safety reasons.
  • Tour Leader: It is advised to appoint one person as the Tour Leader among the participants. In case of differences in decisions, the Tour Leader and the driver shall mutually agree or the driver shall make the final decision.
